BTS 2014 Live Trilogy Episode II: The Red Bullet in Singapore
![]() okay before continuing with my ohseoulexciting adventures, i would just like to talk about yesterday. okay tbh i wasn't really expecting too much at first seeing as how i was going crazy about other groups recently and i wasn't going to be in cat 1 like usual so i was just planning to go there and hope to be able to listen to some other songs that i like but they've never sang live before. and before i went for the concert i was working and it. was. cray. craziest saturday ever and there were quite little people working and the queue was all the way until the pudding or cake showcase and it stayed there omg. craziness overload. i left at 6 plus, feeling very bad cause it was still crazy and while walking to the mrt station, i slipped and fell the moment my foot made contact with the drain cover. booooo i haven't fell down in public in such a long time. okay not that long ago. the last time was in korea when joyce made her prophecies. hahaha. anyway, i quickly stood back up and continued walking like nothing happened with my bleeding elbow, bruised thigh and bent phone case (how did the phone case bend when i fall? i don't get it) so i was feeling pretty damn tired and sianz when i reached there and met ezzati. we had to queue to go in (even though we had seated tickets) and the concert was delayed for more than half an hour cause of some technical difficulties. good thing was, the view from our seats was still pretty clear even though we were on the second tier. there was actually a backdrop which moves and stuff instead of the usual boring screens only! i was a little impressed. during the first two songs i wasn't really that into it cause i was feeling too old among all these screaming teenage girls and i was like thinking "okay i think i've finally grown out of this. i'm too old to be spending so much to watch a group with more than half their members being younger than me". plus the star theatre, even though it is very big, very clean, has a great sound system and stuff, is more suitable for orchestra or band performances than kpop concerts. everyone just guai guai sit in their seats and scream and wave their lightsticks haha. this kind of concerts must stand and jump aorund then fun mah. pretty lightstick sea~ so i was just chilling and all UNTIL they sang "We On", which is one of my fav songs from them. nothing beats hearing your fav songs live seriously. hahaha. for the whole concert they would perform around 2 to 3 songs then stop to talk abit to the audience. one thing that i was impressed about was that all the talking was done in english. even though they were short simple sentences but at least they bothered to memorise them haha. when i went for beast and b.a.p concerts, they would always have a translator during the talk sessions. yepp and there were a lot of audience involvement during the performances. i think its just the nature of their songs. i love the BTS words background cause it gives off a very theatre feel. other than those songs that they promoted, they mostly sang songs from their recent album but they also performed 2 of my other fav songs, tomorrow and 좋아요. and the 3 rappers also performed BTS Cypher pt 3 which was the turning point of the concert in my opinion cause thats when everyone stood up and put their hands up in the air and it was so fun hahaha. Although I would have preferred it if they did cypher pt 2 instead though. that was the best srsly. this fan here is satisfied though. the whole concert was just them, no MC whatsoever and they managed to get everyone into that high concert mood while singing live the whole way. i am pretty impressed. (not so impressed with some of the member's singing though) and good thing they didn't try to play games or whatever. i came here to listen and watch them perform, not choose some girl that would never be me to go on the stage hahaha. one other thing that i was impressed about was towards the end, when they were wrapping up, they were talking about singapore and stuff. while the other members were talking about the usual, like how passionate we are, the streets are clean, chilli crab is delicious etc, rapmon said "I really like Singapore, it is a country with a small territory but it has a high GDP blah blah". I cannot be more impressed. hahahahaha. and his english is seriously good (or is it just the contrast with the other members' cui english? haha) oh oh and there were actually 2 songs that i don't know!! #failfan overall the concert was 2 hours plus long and it was like a big hip hop party. fun~ yepp so thats that. here are some after concert pics. as you can tell from my hair, things got a little crazy during the concert. and we made some new friends!~ they travelled all the way from malaysia to sg to watch this concert wow wow. and they were sitting beside us during the concert. and then on the train ezzati and i shot some footage for her vlog and it was so embarassing HAHAHA. but wells i'm no stanger to doing embarassing stuff manz. bring it on. okay~ holidays faster come omg. week 2 part 2
in the last post i think i missed out on one day, which sop, bryan (a.k.a sop's bff no.2 ) and i went to gwangjang shijang (a.k.a the super famous market cause running man went there before) to eat.we didn't eat much, the food was okay okay but the place was quite big, like a maze but instead of walls you have stalls after stalls selling the same type of food at different corners hahaha. i don't have any pictures and i think sop took a video but it was lost cause her comp died. right. so friday came around and we went for the field trip with the school to: 1) make kimchi (BAD DECISION NO.1) 2) watch JUMP Right so we woke up quite early to board the buses with the rest of the people who signed up, some peace buddies and the EWHA staffs in-charge. Sop and I were on bus one, which sets off the earliest which explains why we have to wake up so early. man i was having such a good hair day hahaha. yay to uncoordinated matching clothes~ and i was trying to point out the old men sitting in the old people pavilion hahaha. check out the just wake up face. idk how but i ended up right at the front of the grp photo lol look at sop and her bff no.1 HAHAHA. Oh ya have I mentioned that the place that we learnt to make kimchi at is called... wait for it... KIMCHI LAND lolz. actually we didn't really learn how to make it, the paste was alr made beforehand by the many capable housewives-looking ahjummas who works there and the cabbage was also immersed in saltwater for a while before we arrived so all we did was wore gloves and spread the paste between the leaves of the cabbage, stuff it into a plastic bag and then stuff it into a container. hahaha and then we made some kimchi pancakes and ate it while drinking makgeolli (rice wine) IN THE MORNING. HAHAHA. this is the first time i drank alcohol on a school field trip hahaha. it was cool. anyway, thats the end of it and we could leave with our (quite heavy) container of kimchi (which would occasionally give off the stinging sour smell of kimchi) in a little pink hello kitty plastic bag. okay now that i typed it out, everything sounds funny. right so after that while sop and i were deciding where to go to waste the few hours we have before we have to meet at another subway stop to go for the jump show, zhenping wanted to join us so the 3 of us just decided to walk around outside that place. and we ended up at Insadong. me waiting for my waffle ddeok. which i thought was some muachi thing being toasted in a waffle machine so it'll be all crispy on the outside and soft on the inside plus i get to choose which honey i want drizzled over it and it sounded pretty damn delicious in my head so i ordered one. but it was no normal ddeok. it was this green ddeok that was chewy and tasted like grass. i can't describe how cheated i felt hahaha. walking around the nice building, where the shops sell stuff that are kinda pricey cause so many tourists frequent this place. bought a cute handmade ring!~ and thennn we found this neoprint shop, which lends you hanbok costumes and accessories so OF COURSE we had to go in and take some neo prints hahaha. and right after we finished, the 2 guys finished making their kimchi and came to join us so we went in to take again and this time i wore the male costume hahaha. and some group shots taken with one of the guys' gopro which we hung up on the ceiling but my hat kept falling off whenever i try to look up so i gave up hahaha. and then yechean finished making her kimchi so she came to join us and the guys suggested that we try out this thing which was like our dragon beard candy but the people had an entertaining way of making it so it was fun to watch and we bought one box to share. ![]() ![]() so after that we made our way to the metro anddddd there was an underground shopping centre at that station so the girls got a bit distracted hahaha. sop and i bought a fake carl kidston backpack each which was pretty damn ex but the auntie already gave us a discount cause she thought we were buying two so it was hard to walk out of the shop plus she was so nice and we kinda needed a big backpack for our out of seoul travels so we bought them in the end haha. yepps. Jump was super fun to watch!! plus cause we were the last to reach the place, we got first row tickets!! yay~~ I may look calm here but my hands were actually shaking hahahaha. as you can tell from the not so clear pic below. i actually only wanted to take with the drunk cute guy but the other cute guy photobombed hahaha. ain't nobody is complaining about that though. hahaha. rightz. so after that we said bye to zhenping cause she wanted to go somewhere with her friend while the 5 of us headed back to ewha and went to eat some green tea bingsu and coffee bingsu. type 1, they were definitely type 1 bingsu. look at that smooth texture that is like snow (even though i've not seen snow before in real life but i imagine them to be just as fine as this). ice kachang is great and all but THIS. i guess the price diff is worth it. (and i stole this pic from brian's fb hahaha thank god for friends who take photos of everything and upload them~) so after having some bingsu to cool us off from the sunny afternoon, we headed back to dorm. after reaching dorm, i unloaded the kimchi into our mini fridge (YES WE HAVE OUR OWN FRIDGE IN OUR DORM ROOM YAY) WHICH WAS BAD DECISION NO.2. okay let me just sidetrack abit to talk about the kimchi. IT. STINKS. it stinks up our fridge, it stinks up our room even though it is in a supposedly airtight container which is IN THE FRIDGE. omg. it stinks so bad. it continues to stink even though we sealed the container with duct tape. it continues to stink even though we wrap the sealed containers under FIVE layers of plastic bag and each plastic bag is taped shut with duct tape. it stinks up our room so bad that we decided to leave them in the balcony instead at night when its cooler (OH YES WE HAVE A BALCONY ATTACHED TO THE DORM ROOM). anyway, with much regret (not on my part though) we said goodbye to the kimchi and threw it away after like one week. okay so after unloading my stuff, i met yechean again at the lobby while sop stayed in the room to sleep/study and we went to shop outside our school for some shoes that... we can wear to club. lolol basically cheapo sneakers which we wouldn't mind getting stepped on. the thing about yechean is that she has a radar that can find super cheap stuff. i mean normally i feel super happy when i managed to buy shirts for 5 or like dresses for 8 or 10 until she show me stuff that she bought for like 2 bucks and i'm like wts?! how is that even possible. hahaha. yepp it was dark by the time we went back. like 8 plus? cause we came out at 6 plus. i remember eating street food for dinner and buying sucky hoddeok (i didn't know it was sucky until i bought it okay...) and a drink back for sop. anywayyyy at 10 plus 11, sop, yc and i met jj at the lift lobby and we headed towards hongdae~ i remember being quite scared and thinking of chicken-ing out when we were queuing at the entrance haha. i shall skip the details, but it was fun hahaha. i just wanna thank jj (who saw everything that happened even though his eyes were closed all the time hahaha.) for bringing the 3 club noobs in and then protecting us in his own way while letting us have fun and for not making it seem like a chore having to keep an eye on us probably meant that he couldn't have too much of his own fun haha. at 3 plus things got a bit crazy and boring i guess so we headed back to dorm. no more train so we walked back from hongdae to ewha which was like 2 stops. i like walking back along that road with friends. hehe. i can still remember the 3 of us chatting animatedly and loudly cause we haven't got used to the quiet road outside the club while walking back and jj was just there smiling like a proud dad while swinging that multicoloured foam tube thing. okay i shall end here for now! this post took longer than i'd expected hahaha.
